When are you open?
PediaKare is open weeknights from 4pm to 10pm and on weekends from 10am to 6pm. We are open on the following holidays from 12pm to 6pm: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, the day after Thanksgiving, the day before and after Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. We are CLOSED Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are necessary. Walk-ins are always welcome.
What is the age range of children you see?
We treat children from birth through 21 years of age.
What services do you provide?
Our office provides pediatric urgent care services with treatments for coughs, colds, flu, strep, urinary tract infections, fevers, broken bones, cuts, burns, minor injuries, stitches, and much more. See the services tab for more detailed information.
Does PediaKare do physicals?
Yes, PediaKare does Sports Physicals. However, we encourage all physicals to be scheduled with your regular physician.
What is your policy for follow-up care?
We always recommend that you follow up with your primary care physician. PediaKare faxes a report of the visit to your child’s physician on the same day. When you make a follow-up appointment with your child’s primary physician, a copy of the report from our office will already be there for the doctor to review.
What if my child’s problem requires hospitalization?
If your child is examined and an assessment determines that your child needs to be admitted to a hospital, we will contact your primary physician to make arrangements for admission to a hospital.
Do you accept my insurance?
PediaKare works with most insurance carriers. We accept most major private health insurances, as well as, Georgia & Alabama Medicaid, WellCare & PeachState. If your insurance is not accepted, you may still bring your child here for care on a self pay basis. If you have any questions, please contact our office for assistance.
What payment do you accept?
For your convenience, we accept payment from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit Cards, cash and personal checks. At the time of your visit, you will be expected to pay co-pays, deductibles and payment for any services not covered by your insurance. We also see patients on a self-pay basis.
